This spring, the Consortium Tour heads east with Edison Chen stepping up for the first Asian edition and rework of the Stan Smith.

Edison Chen’s career spans music, film, and style. Alongside creative partner Kevin Poon he is the co-founder of CLOT, the team behind JUICE, a succession of stores across Hong Kong, Taipei and mainland China. The seven JUICE stores are immaculate retail spaces: concrete floors, natural woods, metals, and occasional flashes of natural greens from plant life; tranquil havens amid concrete metropolises.

It is these stores that have provided the inspiration for Edison’s design. The JUICE Stan Smith is a 2016 twist on the quintessential tennis-turned-lifestyle sneaker: clean grey, subtle chrome eyelets with forest green detailing. Understated but fresh, the contrasting natural and man-made tones which serve as reference to the interiors found in JUICE’s retail spaces.

More globally, the JUICE Stan Smith is a shoe perfectly suited for the season, arriving at a time of year when green shoots begin to emerge after months of grey. JUICE are sharing some Asian green with the world.

This juxtaposition of the organic and the inorganic dominates East Asia. Home to over 1.5 billion people, its multiple megacities – powerhouses in industry and commerce – sprawl across land, but East Asia is also the location of the world’s oldest rainforest and has the planet’s most diverse range of flora. This blend of natural and non-natural is influence behind this collaboration.

The stakes are high, as our GEL-Lyte® III and GEL-Respector™ silhouettes allude to the most exciting two minutes in sports. Each aesthetic is woven with neat seersucker fabrics on the upper – reminiscent of the springtime attire typically worn by the spectators sitting in Millionaire's Row. Accenting the terry cloth sockliner are an off-white midsole and laces that ensure both models are set to run for the roses.

Asics X Slam Jam “6TH PRLLL” is the sequel of the successful project Asics x Slam Jam “5TH DIMENSION” launched in 2010, through which Slam Jam created the story of an imaginary universe focused on active sports and dynamics, strictly connected to Asics philosophy.

After the fifth dimension, today Slam Jam presents the “6TH PRLLL”, a world that doesn’t exist but is real and populated by tribes. It is a darker version of the previous world, where black and shades of grey represent the unknown existence of those tribes.

By inverting to negative the Asics x Slam Jam Gel-Lyte III “5TH DIMENSION”, the result is a brand new and far more aggressive version of the same shoe, the Asics x Slam Jam “6TH PRLLL”, where colours light up along with black and grey hues.

All these suggestions are condensed in a suggestive photoshoot by photographer Mustafa Sabbagh and a short film directed by Federico Zanghì with art direction by Simone Valsecchi, who created piece by piece the masks worn by the four ancient knights, butchering the iconic Gel Lyte III to shape the evocative warriors traits.

NikeLab and fragment design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara present an updated version of the Nike Zoom HyperRev 2016. Nike Zoom Units in the heel and forefoot provide cushioning and responsiveness, while Hyperfuse construction and a midfoot strap deliver lightweight multi-directional support. Fujiwara brings an invigorating color palette and graphic detailing to this new iteration, adding to this shoes budding basketball ascension.

Coming with a couple of Black & White and Grey subtle options they’re accompanied by an extremely vibrant Electric Green colourway. They also feature a bold “FRGMNT” branding emblazoned across the cross strap ensuring everyone knows who is responsible for this collaboration.

The latest Nike Air Presto to land is one of the most unorthodox ones in recent memory, using denim across the upper for more of a lifestyle look.

The denim treatment, along with the gum bottoms and navy-anchored colorway, have been spotted elsewhere in Nike Sportswear's retro line.While this shoe is technically listed as an Air Presto Premium.

In order to commemorate the brand’s centennial milestone, the team searched deep into the archives looking for a special model to re-release. Founded in the middle of May 1916, Karhu celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary by launching the Synchron Classic OG Pack. Karhu selected the Synchron for its notable silhouette, original materials and unique lacing system.

The Synchron Classic features a new compression molded EVA midsole which is current in most modern running shoes. The dual density construction remains true to the original version from the early 1990s. The upper materials have been improved to premium pigskin suede from synthetic overlays while the original mesh appearance remains true to the era. To modernize the silhouette, Karhu makes the Air Cushion technology both visible and functional in the outsole. Most importantly, Karhu keeps the unique Synchron lacing structure which served as a way to tighten the forefoot upon repeated use.

A very special species called Xylocopa bombylans, better known as the blue carpenter bee, is about to deliver something very sweet to you: ASICS and SOLEBOX teamed up for the ASICS X SOLEBOX GEL- LYTE III

The inspiration for this collab comes straight from Down Under: Australian Cape York peninsula is the natural home of the blue carpenter bee where it's known for its loud low-pitched buzzing.
Perforated black full nubuck reflects the black shiny metallic body part of the bee while its remarkable blue coloring is highlighted on a microsuede split tongue and the lining. The characteristic Tiger stripes are underlaid with a grid, referring to the carpenter bees wings.

The partly translucent outsole reveals on one side the Solebox logo and on the other side the bee. Reflective logos and three matching sets of laces complete the set up of the newest addition to the GEL-LYTE III collab family.

Packer Shoes brings us back to the golden era of hip hop with its iteration of the Phase 1 Pro for the Certified Network Year of court.

Packer delivers their expected level of quality and refinement with a premium black leather upper with perforated leather underlays. The seemingly simple colorway of black, white, and gum is packed with subtle detailing to pay homage to hip hop’s past including sublimated golden dookie chains printed on the sockliner and a golden Packer lace lock. Below a crocodile embossed heel tab, the heel is embroidered with “1985,” the year the Phase 1 Pro was introduced as well as several iconic hip hop acts.
