ASICS GEL-DS TRAINER OG X WOOD WOOD “BEIGE”
LAUNCHING 27TH MAY
After already celebrating their 15th anniversary with a metallic edition of the ASICS GEL–DS Trainer OG, Danish sneaker connoisseurs Wood Wood are doubling down on the classic silhouette: For their second drop, Wood Wood brings back the ASICS Tiger GEL-DS Trainer OG in an athletic mesh edition.
Whereas the first version of the W.W. X ASICS Tiger GEL-DS Trainer OG was reminiscent of disc based media players from the 90s, the second version seems to hint more at Dieter Rams designed electronics of the 60s.
The subtle take on the 90s runner features a mesh toebox, grey suede ASICS Tiger stripes and tan leather panels on the heel. The skeleton upper provides extra midfoot stability, ASICS GEL technology makes for perfect density and the neoprene bootie the perfect fit. Also the GEL-DS Trainer OG features a Duo-Sole outsole for enhanced flexibility, durability and traction. Additional details include red eyelets, olive green lace tips and outsole, yellow leather accents, oval laces and W.W. branding on the tongue.

Again, Wood Wood co-founders Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen add flavor via subtle tweaks and additions, including W.W. co-branding on the tongue label and insole, breathable mesh toe box, leather heel panels in contrasting tan, as well as ASICS Tiger stripes in grey suede.
The classic runner retains its benchmark-setting functionality by ways of ASICS GEL cushioning in combination with an equally grippy and responsive DuoSole outsole.
ADIDAS CONSORTIUM X OVERKILL EQT SUPPORT ‘COAT OF ARMS’ PACK
LAUNCHING 27TH MAY
OVERKILL is the OG sneaker emporium in Berlin. Since opening in 2003 in the multi-cultural Kreuzberg district, OVERKILL has become the city’s foremost hub for street culture. It has grown to become an urban lifestyle store stocking the world’s best footwear, clothing and graffiti equipment. Deeply proud of its civic identity, OVERKILL takes inspiration from the local area and delivers an impressive EQT Support pack in collaboration with adidas Consortium.
The pack features two models: the EQT Support ADV and the EQT Support Future, titled “Coat of Arms” as the colour palette – red, black and white – is a reference to Kreuzberg’s traditional emblem. Despite opening a decade after the EQT Support was first released as a running shoe, OVERKILL holds a long-held love for this particular model and range, being among the stores heavily responsible for the its renaissance. Via events, showcases and previous collaborations, OVERKILL has been assisting the EQT’s revival among the new generation of sneaker enthusiasts and veterans alike who are looking for both heritage and a powerful aesthetic.
The EQT Support ADV is the classic; a tough runner-turned modern street icon. This model comes in mid grey with black and red accents and the OVERKILL logo on its distinctive ankle strap. The design elements and details lean towards the EQT Support 93 and EQT Guidance 93 which are OVERKILL’s favorites in the EQT series.

ADIDAS CONSORTIUM SNEAKER EXCHANGE – SNEAKERBOY X WISH
LAUNCHING 20TH MAY
Sneakerboy is relatively new to the sneaker game but the Australian store has quickly built a solid reputation in the upscale footwear market. It operates stores in Sydney, Queensland, Melbourne, and Chadstone. In Atlanta, Wish is the city’s leading sneaker spot and one of the finest footwear outposts in the American South. Over the years the retailer has made a name for itself via high-profile product collaborations and strong online editorials.
The two stores had never interacted before Consortium linked them up for the Sneaker Exchange. Their challenge was, once again, to find common ground to deliver a stunning design concept for this series. The partners present a PureBOOST and an updated Climacool 1 in a novel Primeknit execution. Both styles are striking in the use of the knit technology with a completely new take on branding and detailing.
Sneakerboy’s stores are all situated on the Australian Coast so the retailer looked to the sea for inspiration and began exploring aesthetic references to the box jellyfish, the world’s deadliest jellyfish. Its translucency and luminescence were the starting point for the collaborative design process. Even though native to the Australian waters, Wish – by chance – also knew of this particular jellyfish: the Georgia Aquarium is one of only four institutions in the world which houses the specimen. A great coincidence and exceptional link between these two partners.
The PureBOOST glows in the dark, yet its most distinct feature is the use of clear, loose gauge knit detailing on the shoes 3-Stripes branding. A functional feature never before used on other Primeknit models. The distinctive sock-like construction paired with a wide lacing system helps to to make this one of the year’s guaranteed neck breakers.
The other model that gets a jellyfish makeover is the Climacool. This iconic, early 21st century runner is currently enjoying a real renaissance. This time it is made translucent and, as its counterpart, luminescent. Similar to the PureBOOST, a new Primeknit fiber processing is applied that results in a geometric- patterned upper. As well as an outstanding product, it is a great example of adidas returning to an archive model and giving a type of contemporary rework impossible at the time of the Climacool’s initial conception.
As well as pushing one another, Sneakerboy and Wish challenged adidas to raise the game and reinvent. Two partners with a clear vision were given access to adidas’ wide spectrum of materials and production technologies and they deliver a product that is both, novel and exceptional in design and functionality.
