The YEEZY 500 "Salt"  features an upper composed of cow suede, premium leather and mesh with nubuck accents. A rubber wrap along the midsole of the foot provides support and abrasion resistance with reflective piping details around the lace eyelets that add visibility in low-light conditions. The adiPRENE+ cushioning absorbs impact and optimizes rebound while a rubber outsole provides traction.

In the third battle of the widely popular series, The Kamanda and Oregon Ultra Tech silhouettes form the backdrop for the ultimate sacrifice: Vegeta takes on Buu.

First up is the Ultra Tech based on the character Vegeta. Walk like the Saiyan prince in these Ultra Tech's featuring a quilted material on the upper that mimics Vegeta's body armour. Inspired by a '90s running style, a Dillinger web-wrapped midsole features as on all Ultra Techs. Further details include a collaborative logo lock up on the sockliner.

Next up for a square go is the Kamanda dedicated to Majin Buu. The perforated 3-Stripes represent Majin's ability to shoot steam out of holes in his body. A mix of retro and modern football style, the low-profile Kamanda has a luxe, ultra-soft feel in suede. As we've become accustom to both the Ultra Tech & Kamanda come complete in fully collaborative Dragonball Z packaging that all adds up to completing the set.

The ADIDAS 4D midsole is printed with light and oxygen, using Digital Light Synthesis, a technology pioneered by Carbon (partnership first announced in April 2017). Digital Light Synthesis is a breakthrough process that uses digital light projection, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to print high-performance, durable polymeric products. The process uses data to translate the needs of a performance category, and eventually individual athlete or consumer, with the required movement, cushioning and stability directly in to a midsole.

A super-lightweight upper that encases your foot in a seamless sock-like fit - providing the support and comfort needed during sharp lateral movements and tight turns. Each thread is individually constructed millimeter by millimeter with FORGEFIBER - a process using TPU-coated yarn, that maximizes performance when stitched at various angles and layers for ultimate strength in motion.  The Continental rubber outsole draws on 140 years of Continental tire technology and research - with engineered traction zones to support deeper cuts and faster acceleration, regardless of surface terrain or weather.

The urban culture trailblazers from Italy team up with adidas Consortium on two new footwear styles.

It’s hard to overstate the influence of SLAM JAM on European urban culture. Founded by Luca Benini in Ferrara, north Italy, three decades ago, it has distributed some of the most iconic brands of that time period all over the world. SLAM JAM’s keen curatorial eye, rooted in a deep understanding of sub-cultures, introduced the cross-pollination of streetwear and ‘high’ fashion long before such a thing entered the mainstream. This approach carried over into the SLAM JAM retail operations, which, across its various locations, helped pioneer the ‘concept’ store.

The latest SLAM JAM collaboration sees them joining forces with the adidas Consortium team on two exclusive new footwear styles. Together, the two pairs – one drawn from adidas’ rich heritage, the other from the cutting-edge of the sportswear brand’s developments – allude to the staying power of SLAM JAM.

First up is a new take on the ever-iconic 80s Superstar. The SLAM JAM iteration is a masterclass in minimalism, offset by distinctive detailing. The instantly-recognizable shelltoe of the Superstar is here presented in an entirely smooth leather, while the heel panel is entirely blacked out. This refined approach is offered a subtle counterpoint by the introduction of asymmetrical, zig-zagging stitches on the shoe’s lateral.

The second style sees SLAM JAM applying a similar aesthetic approach to a very different type of shoe. The P.O.D. adidas Originals presents a new iteration of the NMD_CS1 silhouette this month which takes inspiration from Zen-Buddhism. Using the NMD_CS1 model’s minimalist upper as a canvas, the release applies the Zen symbol “Enso” to the shoe as a mark of freedom of creativity. A longstanding symbol of Zen-Buddhism, the “Enso” symbol is most commonly represented as a single black circular brushstroke, and represents the moment that the mind becomes free, allowing the body to create.
 

The free-flowing form of the “Enso” represents strength, enlightenment and elegance, but it is also often used to represent the Japanese concept of “wabi-sabi” – a belief that the imperfections of an object are what makes it uniquely beautiful. For its latest outing, the NMD_CS1 silhouette channels these principles into a minimalist design, featuring a white woven Primeknit upper, placed atop the NMD series’ iconic Boost™ midsole with EVA heel and forefoot inserts.
