UBIQ X ASICS GEL LYTE SPEED “COOL BREEZE”
LAUNCH 1ST AUGUST

The UBIQ x Asics Gel Lyte Speed “Cool Breeze” was inspired by the positive and refreshing vibes we all experience during the summer months. The clear blue skies and rejuvenating feeling when we step into the cool waters of the ocean served as our muse when developing this project. Every time you slip on a pair of the “Cool Breeze,” we want you to remember the tranquil feeling of seeing crystal blue skies, and touching the teal blue waters.

With the thoughts of blue skies and cool oceans driving this project, we wanted to push the envelope when shooting the sneaker. Eventually, after much hesitation, we decided to take to sky in a helicopter ride around the city to put the “Cool Breeze” on display. It’s not everyday someone from UBIQ is courageous enough hang their legs out of a helicopter thousands of feet above the city while snapping a pictures. But the end results were more than desirable.

Once our feet were back on the ground, we moved on to our next location – the Race Street Pier. The pier is the closest boardwalk like make up in the city. It was the ideal place to shoot our next round of pictures. The surrounding waters paired with the Ben Franklin Bridge made for the perfect components to bring out the sneakers blue and aqua colorway.

For our final destination to solidify the “Cool Breeze” as the quintessential summer sneaker, we headed to the beach. In our experiences, the beach is one of the most tranquil environments to take in summer.

The UBIQ x Asics Gel Lyte Speed “Cool Breeze” blends shades of aqua, sky blue, and navy. The shoe features a perforated nubuck toe box, a suede mudguard, heel, and overlay, along with soft leather on the side panel for the classic Asics logo.
